Krista Hegburg is the Senior Program Officer for International Academic Programs of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, where she runs the International Research Workshop Program. Over the course of her career at the Museum, she has designed and launched a number of domestic and international initiatives to expand programming into new and underserved areas, including the Mandel Center’s Campus Outreach Symposia, its Global South Initiative, and its programming in the former Soviet Union. Prior to joining the Museum, Dr. Hegburg taught in the Department of Anthropology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and at the University of Lower Silesia in Wrocław, Poland. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Columbia University.
