Yasar Abu Ghosh

Yasar Abu Ghosh

teaches at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Social Studies, Charles University. His research explores the changing forms of contemporary marginalisation of Roma in Central and Eastern Europe, with particular attention to regimes of poverty and debt. His long-term interest as scholar and activist has been on the politics of memory and the interplay with Roma struggles for the recognition of the Nazi genocide. Lately, he has been engaged in a collaborative endeavour to create a network of researchers and other stakeholders to advance and enhance research and policy making concerning contemporary forms of anti-Romani racisms.
