History shows that long-standing social patterns continue to shape health, policy, and research today.
We share here the invitation of the Harvard University that invites you to a powerful conversation marking the launch of Dr. Margareta Matache’s new monograph, The Permanence of Anti-Roma Racism: (Un)uttered Sentences. This fireside chat will examine the long histories, structural factors, and everyday practices that continue to affect Roma individuals and families across Europe and beyond. This conversation will explore why these often unspoken dynamics are important for public health, policymaking, and academic research today. In dialogue with Dr. Mary Bassett, Dr. Abadir Ibrahim, and Dr. Bram Wispelwey, Dr. Matache explores how silenced histories, unresolved violence, and marginalized Roma knowledge continue to shape lived realities.
